$550.00The MCC 2–Day RDS Instructor course sponsored by the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office is designed to give department instructional staff a hands-on experience of RDS handgun familiarization, training, skill, technique, and department program development. This course will provide the student trainer with a solid basic understanding of the RDS, common RDS issues and operations and the best effective instructional methodology and use of the RDS for duty and tactical applications. Heavy emphasis will be on Shooter–Coach Instruction, Teach Backs, Program Development and Problem Solving with extensive Firearms Drills focusing on speed and accuracy.
Instruction includes:
- Adult Learning Principles and Agency Implementation
- Benefits / Drawbacks / Limitations of RDS
- Instructional Diagnostics and Problem Solving
- Shooter Fundamentals problem solving
- Optic types, selection, and issues
- System Functionality & Failures and Issues.
- Firearm fundamentals applied to the MRDS.
- Shooter Analysis and Diagnostics – O.D.R. Methodology
- Reloads and Malfunction remediation with the RDS
- Low Light
- Use of Cover
- Movement
- Instructional Skill Development and Teach Backs
Equipment requirements:
- RDS equipped Handgun with 3 magazines.
- RDS Holster and magazine pouches
- Vest / body armor.
- Minimum 600 rounds range ammunition
- Ear and Eye protection
- Appropriate Range Clothing
