This course will shift that paradigm and put the students’ performance first. \nThe Two-day Observe – Diagnose – Remedy training course is designed to teach problem solving skills to current L.E. Firearms Instructors on how to identify and fix shooters’ deficiencies. This course will focus on the importance of hard skills\, various current and new instructional methodologies\, incorporating adult learning concepts\, and identifying patterns in shooters’ performances. \nDay One of this course will present the attendees with several current and new techniques on Observing\, Diagnosing\, and Remediating shooting deficiencies. Attendees will be given time to experiment with the Remediation drills\, so the shooter can increase his / her awareness of their own deficiencies. \nDay Two of the course will introduce shooters who are seeking improvement in their shooting performance. DESCRIPTION:The Five-Day Basic SWAT Course is an intensive\, performance-driven program designed for entry-level Tactical Officers/Operators and currently assigned SWAT personnel who have not attended an updated SWAT course in several years. This course establishes a solid operational foundation and reinforces modern tactical principles required to operate effectively in today’s dynamic and kinetic law enforcement environment. \nThis course focuses on the core fundamentals of team-based tactical operations\, emphasizing individual responsibility within the team framework. Instruction concentrates on tactical team basics\, operational skills\, and foundational concepts\, while reinforcing the importance of team composition\, roles\, and interpersonal dynamics under stress. \nTRAINING EMPHASIS\nThroughout the week\, students will train in: \n\nTactical team operations and movement\nOperational scouting and intelligence gathering\nMission planning and execution\nVariable operational concepts for kinetic environments\nLeadership under pressure\nAsymmetric thinking and problem-solving\nTeamwork and communication in high-risk operations\n\nInstruction is reinforced through extensive Field Training Exercises (FTXs) and experiential-based scenarios designed to replicate real-world operational demands. These exercises challenge students to apply both proven and emerging tactical concepts while operating under physical and cognitive stress. \nCOURSE DEMANDS\nThis is a physically and mentally demanding course intended to push students beyond baseline performance levels.
